A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Our most recent concert comprised several movements (including Hallelujah) from Handel’s Messiah, "Gloria" from Vivaldi's Gloria, "Esurientes" from Rutter's Magnificat and movement 2 of "Winter" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons.   We sang three spirituals from A Gospel Christmas (arr. Daryl Runswick).  The concert featured accomplished professional soloist, Ruth Kerr, and the choir was accompanied by Sussex Classical Players. In addition we performed our ever- popular carols for choir and audience, and there were readings of Tennyson's Ring Out, Wild Bells and an excerpt from Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
